Charla has been part of the Cruise & Associates team since November 2022. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Born and raised on a farm near Bruning, Nebraska, Charla attended school in Bruning before serving four years in the Army, where she was stationed in Germany. After returning home, she enrolled at UNL while continuing to serve in the Nebraska National Guard. Following graduation, she moved to Wisner to raise her son, Joseph, in a close-knit community.
Prior to joining Cruise & Associates, Charla served as an executive director and handled accounting for a community action and housing agency for several years. She is actively involved in the Wisner-Pilger TeamMates program and has also served as a Cub Scout leader and Sunday school teacher.
In her free time, Charla enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family, playing cards or hot dice, and helping others.
